Born in Barcelona, Alex discovered his vocation very soon: he started collecting press advertisements at age 15.
Graduated in Advertising & Public Relations, he started in the advertising field as a copy junior in 1989. He joined JWT in 1999 and combines his job as Barcelona’s MCD with advertising teaching since 2001.
He says that being a creative is “an attitude that must be accompanied by talent, an inherited ability”. But “with no enthusiasm, talent is useless”.
Alex considers that advertising is not only a job but also a passion. “Other way, you wouldn’t be able to stand it for a long time”.
With over 100 awards in advertising competitions, (20 awards at El Sol, 7 Lions at Cannes, 5 pencils at The One Show, 7 Ojo de Iberoamerica, 15 medals at NEW YORK, 7 Epica awards, Grand Prix/FIAP, Grand Third Eye/El Ojo, Gold at Clio and Eurobest, Grand Prix at The Cup…etc..) . In 2008 he was selected as one of the 15 most outstanding Ibero-American creatives by AdLatina.
